The state meet is history. Proud of everyone who made it to the state meet! Kamau Bostic came within .05 seconds of winning the state meet with his 4:28! Congrats! He was 7th in the 800m, the race he should have won, but he had something weird happen with his legs with 250m to go and dropped from 1st to 7th. Walker placed 3rd in the 3200m and 7th in the 1600m, Joseph was 7th in the 3200m, and Mary Elizabeth was 5th in the 800m race. Amazing that we had a boy and girl in every distance race this year!

This week we will not be running as much because the high school kids (except those graduating today) have exams this week, and after the state meet everyone needs a few days off. However, we are running this afternoon at 5 meeting at the Enology Building at the North Farm (enter through the gravel road by the Rose Garden-the connecting road from the Research Park is blocked off). Its always a good idea to do some easy running the day after a meet to loosen up your legs (in my opinion). Starting next weekend, we will be picking our mileage back up, getting some base mileage in before the fall cross country season.
